I disagree that age is just a number because so many things are determined by age not the least of it is maturity. The fact remains that an older person is going to be at an unfair advantage over a young person. In the example cited in the first post, a college student is definitely going to be light years ahead of a high school student in terms of maturity and experience which works to the detriment of the high school student. Also, some older folks may be just look at the young person as fresh meat which can adversely affect the younger person when he/she goes for future relationships.
My basic point is that it is so much better and safer that folks stay within their own age groups so that they will not only be with people who share their life experiences but also will be on their same level maturity and experience wise.
