i stayed in busan which is the major city besides seoul (which is the capital) ... there aren't any houses there, which was kinda crazy, they're all like super tall apartment buildings n i stayed on like the 19th floor of one (my friend lives there ... his family lived here for a year, then he came alone n stayed with me for 3 months n then i went n stayed with him for 3 months) ... it's pretty safe, like i was allowed to leave on my own n everything ... there r places there called pc bongs (or that's what it sounds like), where you pay a little $ to use like super fast computers n sometimes they look like caves n stuff ... ok i can c this will b really long if i talk about everything, so if there's anything specific about korea u wanna knw, just ask lol
