Yes it is cheaper, by a lot however ATT makes up for it in monthly charges because unlike paying $60 a month for the first iPhone.. it is now $70 a month..
SO the other phone was $399 and if you took that and multiplied by 24 (amount of months in a contract) the old iPhone would be $1839.... for the new iPhone ($10 more a month) at $200 less the amount would be: $2095
That is a lot to pay for a phone... and Well I have a touch.... WAY more economical... especially when I have phone service for $10 a month....

iphones arent the only expensive phones
i paid $160 for my blackberry curve, and its $50 a month for each blackberry,, sure its less than iphone, but still mighty expensive
