I was in the same boat not too long ago. I even came out to a cousin of mine, relatively first.
I asked her to go out to lunch with me and told her I needed to tell her something really important. So basically, I trapped myself with her. Then; it's kind of lame. But I just wrote it down. Beats saying it if you're at all nervous like I was.
