I'll try that. Yeah, it is a good community, a bitchy one, but fun.

I understand part of that, no problem, the Topman part, but thats just like a modern day ritual. However there are a lot of people that give up a lot of their life to become "beautiful" leaving behind what they were. Sometimes its for the better, but their bodies can't handle it (mentally of course). Therefore it is taking away from their individuality. .

Absolutely, merging both points, I believe Topman is removing individuality from many people. I walk down the highstreet and see 3 of the same jackets. I agree within the point of people 'leaving things behind', but many people choose to leave their old fashion choices behind as they don't feel confident with their previous clothes. It gives people a boost if they think THEY look good.

Also for your first two statements you are right, however the 8 second thing, changes upon meeting someone, appearance is NOT everything. Though it does play a very important role as I stated. Also I don't like the word "crucial" being used there because there is no context, no situation is occurring. Personally I assumed 'Relationships' I figured that was a fair assumption. And in this category I wouldn't say its Crucial, which leads us to your first statement. You dress to attract, its a sub-conscious thing, good chances are if that person isn't attracted to the way you dress, you didn't want to be with them anyways. It wouldn't have worked out in the long run. And if it is suppose to work then those two people can over-come something as foolish as apparel (in this context)

I completely agree.

Last thing, you obviously mis-understood the first point I laid out, and you quoted. I didn't mean sub-consciously because we all know that is evident. If you were to buy a shirt you are attracted to a shirt that you think will suit you, or that you like. I meant it to be more of a conscious thing, being aware that "You can't buy that shirt, even though you like it, because a clothing line doesn't approve of it for this season"
Also mere logic comes into play too for example why would you buy shorts in -20 degree weather, unless it were for some indoor activities.

Ah, well, fashion will be ridiculas. And it will continue to until we just walk around naked. Some people are happy to buy a shirt that doesn't follow the line as much as possible, but some do. And I think that is the line we will have to differ on.
Good discussing
