Mine was my best friend Jamie. I was so afraid to tell her, not because I didn't trust her, just because once I said it there was not taking it back. When I first told her, she seemed to think that she had to act differently around me. But eventually she became used to it and we were back to our original friendship. She helped me tell everyone else and without her, I don't know what I would of done.

when I was 12, I was a party and there was a 17 yr old guy there, somebody told me he was gay. When we were alone we started talking, I didnt say I was gay, I told himbi think I like guys. He said he could tell, it scared the hell out of me, I thought everyone could tell. But he was really nice, he said he was gay, and happy, so that made me relax a bit.

the first non-family member i came out to was my best friend kelsi.. i swear she was SOO excited.. she was like OMG i have a gay best friend! AHHHH... it made me so happy.. that was a year ago.. ever since than i slowly started coming out to more and more ppl.. now im fully open about it! it's a fantastic feeling...

the first person i called was one of my bff's, jillian....... buuuuuut she wasnt home, so i texted one of my other bff's, kelly (ok all my friends r girls)...... she's super cool (i love saying super cool) about it, but sometimes i wish i hadn't come out because now going to the mall isn't a fun experience like it used to be; it's more like a JOB...... ok, tell me why just bc i'm the "gay best friend" i have to approve every single purse/article of clothing/pair of sunglasses that she buys now? it's so much pressure, i mean if she looks like a dummy, it's all on me (that hasn't happened yet and hopefully won't)....... ok and if that isn't enough, ALL my friends consider me their "gay best friend" and they treat whatever i say about fashion as if it was spoken by the fashion god himself........... oh, and another thing (i feel like those infomercials that's like "but wait! there's more!) now my STRAIGHT stepbrother runs all of his daily outfits by me! it's hard because he doesn't have like anything that matches; i tried to tell him that when he shops he should always think "do i have something that matches this?" if not, dont buy it! (unless of course he buys something that matches it in the same trip) but he aaaaaaalways comes home with this random stuff! plaid shorts, but no shoes to match the plaid shorts! i mean, for me, the shoes r what pull the whole outfit together! i'm not even gonna get into the part where everyone asks me for relationship advice, i mean last time i checked, i wasn't exactly the best with relationships considering i've never had one.... ok sry a little (lot) off topic i'm done lol

One of my really good friends names Kate. She knew a lot of gay guys so I knew she would be ok with it. She had also been there for the coming out process of a few of them, so she was there whenever I needed a little extra encouragement.

Well..I chose to pass a note about it to my best friend at the time...and the teacher got it!!!!! So the teacher kept me after class and told me i might have to talk to the school councelor.(obviously the teacher thought it was wrong or something along those lines) When I finaly told my friend she told me she accepted it, but not really because from then on she acted strange and always acted uncomfortable. We grew apart and I found better friends that stick with me no matter what!!!
