Does anyone else find it difficult to come out to other guys?
I have had no problem telling girls, but I am having a hard time telling one of my best guy friends. He's the last person that I want to tell in person before I go and put it online through facebook.

yes, guys are way harder to come out to then girls. (that is, if you're a guy yourself at least) i have a hard time coming out to my guy friends as well because of fear of what they'll think of me. in fact, out of all of my guy friends, i've only come out to one of them. but, it's weird though because when your around them, you have to put on a front and pretend that you're straight. whenever they talk about girls and stuff, you have to pretend like your interested. it's a little awkward. but, fun at the same time.

Yeah the first people I would tell would be all of my friends that are girls. They just don't care, they are more understanding. I don't know why all the guys that you are friends with think you will "hit" on them if they are gay. It's ridiculous.

I've come out to guys before. It's a bit harder, but I find it easiest when I have a mix of both girls and guys to tell it too. Now though, I just say it to anyone, regardless of gender, it doesn't really bother me.

Hmm, I never really "came out" to anyone I guess. Like, I don't honestly think I've just flat out said, "I like boys" I just don't hide the fact. I don't find it difficult to let anyone know either.
I have this attitudes like, "If it bothers you, thats your problem, not mine." One of my best guy friends found out I like boys and he freaked and hates me now. But I don't care, I see it this way, if they are going to hate you after they find out you like the same sex as you, and not accept it, they were NOT friends in the first place. |

It's hard, but it's best to just do it, it's a test of friendship isn't it. If he doesn't accept it, then he's not worth having as a friend is he? If he accepts it then fine he's a good friend.
If he's one of your best friends another thing is that he might be angry with you for being the last person you told. |
