Hey, who all here plays D&D? I figure here is the best place to ask because it is about gaming

I am going through D&D withdrawl because I havn't played in almost a week and a half (makes us sad ).

I am an elf monk/scout who because of insanity and MPD switches between LG and CE, his lover/uberdefender is the second in command of crew on our air ship, and I am the uber-archer (140+crits at 14)/scout. I am also a weretiger because of a poor save in the middle of some random forest infested with a pleathora of fun stuff to kill.

god i havent played D&D for about 3 years. fun, i think i was like a human sorcerer, neutral evil, and was generally the backstabbing bitch until the DM decided to be a bastard and place an almost permenant anti magic field. grrrr. that was fun. fun quirks? well i had a familier that had the best stats in the whole group apart from like - intelligence. meh it was fun. but now i sound like a total geek. not so much fun lol.

I've never played D&D, but I have played Neverwinter Nights 2, which is based off D&D, and I love that game...

Plus, where else can you learn cool things like...

"Dude, I can't find the mustard..."
"You failed your spot check."

...or...

"Come on man, you've been playing forever, let me play now"

I dont like board games much, anyways

I prefer something that is both a stunning and
an addictive game with a matching visual appeal
to keep my interest

Billy, that's why I like NWN2, it's a computer game based off of D&D, it's an rpg, but all the rules in that game follow the rules in D&D... for the most part.

Also a great storyline.

Well that actually doesnt sound too bad, then.
WoW reminds me of D&D a bit, or at least from
what ive heard about it.
But, i only played WoW for a month or so.
It got boring.
Perhaps i shouldve played on a priv server instead >.<

Well I'm just gonna let you know right now before you ever play NWN2...

The wizards and sorcerers don't work at all the way they do in other games. In NWN2, you're only allotted a certain number of casts per day per spell (or per spell level if you're a sorcerer). The closest to the typical mage from other games would be the warlock, but it gets a bit repetitive playing as one of those. If you ever do try out NWN2, I'd recommend starting as a fighter or a rogue.
