I met this guy online around my age and he lives near me!

But i'm kind of paranoid about actually meeting him, cuz i've had bad experiences with guys on the internet before lying. How can i trust him? I'm not out at all but i'm really lonely and would like to meet him.

Hmm...talk on the phone. And if he has a webcam that's much much better...'cuz then you can see him to confirm that the guy you see in pictures is actually him, you know?

Just be careful...give it a few months first =]

well we're giving picture "requirments" where we say like take a picture while holding this or doing that.

that sounds secure, of course it is needless to remind anyone of the dangers of internet freaks in this age of fucking paranoid media, still, not everyone is a raving rapist, so just be careful, and of course, don't get yourself in a situation were he ties you down and cuts of your fingers or anything, meet in public etc. and have fun
