Default Does anybody else have this problem?

So, I've recently came out to everybody I know. Pretty much everybody I know is cool with it. However, I've noticed that some of my friends have been starting to act differently around me. When I'm with my guy friends and the subject of girls comes up, they look at me nervously and try to change the subject. I'm not really into girls, but I have no problem discussing them or hearing about it. Also, some of my female friends are starting to buy into the stereotype. One of them kept asking me my opinion on what she was wearing, another one kept asking my opinion on different guys at school. Now, I feel incredibly uncomfortable discussing fashion and guys with anybody. I had no interest in what they were talking about. It annoys me that people feel the need to change their attitude towards me ever since I've come out. I mean, I'm happy that they're accepting of my sexuality, but it annoys me that they feel the need to treat me differently. has anybody else been in a similar situation? what should I tell these "friends?"

Same thing happened to me. They will probably slowly come back around. Give it some time, and if it's still awkward, say something about it to them.

I agree. I bet they'll feel less awkward over time once they've had some time to adjust.

or they think you have a Great sence in fashion... *shrugs*
but the reason girls ask you about guys is because your gay and attracted to them so i would say its their way of saying "Welcome and we accept you for you!"
the guys just joke about girls like they do... after a while they will get alright with it or will stay uncomfortable....
congrats by the way

Haha, I hate that sterotype. But, hopefully like wizy said, that just think you have a great sense of fashion. And i'm not really completely out yet, so i can't say much about it, but I think they'll eventually come around.
