I would like to see more space to write about oneself on a profile other than occupation name and if you're out.

I'm trying to meet people based on discussion, but also appeal to my likings as well.

So I am asking if this would be possible.

I am glad you brought this up! When the new release of vBulletin comes out this will be one of many features included in the new release.

What version is the board on?

I assumed that because it doesn't have proper social networking tools it was on version 2, as version 3 has proper social networking tools.

Oh, I would have thought that social networking facilities would be used then.

They will be once the new release of vBulletin is out, it is still in the beta stage and is un stable.
