How do I delete my account?

members can't delete their own accounts. Can I ask why you want your account deleted? Maybe its a problem we can fix

Here's a crazy idea that I'm just gonna throw right out there. Stop logging on? Realationships will come and go, but GTF is forever

the admins can easily delete it, i used to admin a site similar to this one,,,,

but why?, i mean,, just quit loggin in,, and save the login info for when you do want to come back,,, that way you can keep your post count and all that good stuff

We do not delete accounts, and here is why.

We do not delete accounts to protect the integrity of the forums thread system. If an account is deleted all of the posts from that particular person are then transformed into posts made by a 'ghost' account. The posts will still remain on the forum and in the threads but when it shows the person who posted the reply that was deleted it lists it as a deleted account and can cause confusion within the thread

eww, i remember when i ran a forum, and i kept the "user delete own account" option open

i racked up quite a few ghost accounts, and everybody was like, WTF??

there are over 600 inactive accounts on gtf, im sure the server can handle one more unused account just dont log in anymore
