It would be for gay people with disabilities to discuss what it is like to be gay and disabled, im sure there are a few gay people with disabilities in this forum. Whether they be gay people with physical, mental, emotional, developmental, psychological, etc... disabilities.

Speaking on behalf of people on this forum, most of us will have slight psychological damage from coming out etc. The entire forum is devoted to things such as this.
Gay people are a minority as they are, but gay disabled is just too specific. If you want to talk about something related to disability, just post in the general section or Off-Topic.

I agree with seth, as far as emotional and psychological - we are all suffering from it, at least on some level, you can find threads pertaining to these everywhere. And i don't know of many gays on the site with disabilities, I'm sure there are many but no need to get so specific. Feel free to post threads in accordance with the subject though.
You can view this suggestion as resolved unless there is a lot more interest.

Well 1,000 people on this site? do a basic calculation, 10% of the pop has noticeable conditions, so 100 people probably. This is something that is not readily discussed because the gay community like the straight community does not accept disabled people. Most gay guys are superficial and judgemental if you want the truth. I dont get accepted by the gay community or the disabled community. LGBT people complain about rights they dont have and yet they arent willing to have a proper section so that this can be readily discussed. It is not some off-topic or miscellanious topic, it is a very important topic that must be addressed because it hasnt, and if it is never addressed it never will be. To be gay and physically disabled is nearly an impossibility. Gay guys cant see past my power wheelchair and I will have no one at all ever in my life. People will just be "friends" with me, nothing else. Gay guys are just fucking whore fairies.

I do understand what you are getting at mwsk19, I really didn't mean to offend people with what I said - but even if we have 1000 people on this site, only about 250 use it on a regular basis... if that, people may frequent the site once a month. I understand it'd be hard, don't get me wrong being gay is hard enough - I couldn't imagine the physical disabilities to go with it.

I have a right to be outraged, your acting like its not an important issue to be addressed. Oh and now your offended that a gay guy called gay guys whore fairies? I should be offended that you called me a spaz, because you obviously are not disabled and what you said s absolutely not true, its just a stereotype. Maybe if gay guys were not so girly, I would have a boyfriend by now. I have never let my anger out yet, its working really well now.

Pot, Kettle, Black (yes, I learned it, for all of you 0ld-sklz forum members). You call us girls, and then you call us stereotypical.
You make me laugh. Of course I don't have a disability. I can't be fucked with you. Stop complaining about everything, you've just waltzed onto this forum ranting and raving, your not getting a good reb here boy.

ok your last post had nothing to do with this, so ill discuss your other post. and this is a gay forum, but its not a gay disabled forum. Because most gay guys would never ever be in a relationship with a gay disabled guy, from personal experience. and I can call you girly if I want, because chances are im more feminine than most girls. And I hope what you said didnt mean you would never even consider a disabled person, because if u meant that, you will only be verifying my stigma. and its rep not reb. and dont call me boy because i think i was born to the wrong gender. And im not complaining, im telling it as it is.

Once again - not to be offensive. But you must realize with maybe 25 other disabled people (if you take 10% of the ACTIVE population of this site) . . . couldn't you discuss it amongst yourselves if you wished to talk about it, feel free to state your problems in threads. I'm a bad insomniac, I don't need a whole section for it.
We aren't discrediting the severity of your problem mate, I can actually see where you are coming from. Your chances of finding someone are almost jeopardized by your position, but having a whole section about this, on an already troubled website won't change many minds - if any. And i'll be quite blunt with you - I wouldn't consider someone with a disability. I'm sorry, I'm telling you as it is. But having a whole thread dedicated to it, won't change my mind. Now, im not saying I couldn't fall in love with someone who is disabled, I just highly doubt it. If this repetitive arguing over it persists I'll close the thread - I rarely make such controversial opinions public.

two questions.
1) What is your disability? 2) Why do you have the right to say "Gay guys are just fucking whore fairies." at us, then say that seth doesn't have the right to say "spaz" at you?

MERCI BABES.
Yeah, and to be honest, we don't have that section, as it goes against the genral trend. You don't go into a bar and be like 'ohh, I love discussing fashion, sport, and disabilities'. GENERAL or OFF TOPIC.

1. My disability is Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
2. What I said is true, what seth said is not true, and honestly based on what Adrastus has said only proves my point even more. And btw I hate discussing sports, but fashion and any other topic im all for it. And ill venture a guess as to why you there is no such section. It is because the gay community does not accept their disabled brothers. Other gay guys turn me down because of my disability, not even noticing who I am, just my wheelchair. And ill tell you the truth of my opinion, you are faggots who deserve to burn to death. I am a gay guy as well, but you are the type of gay people who should be murdered. Sorry but thats the way it is and always will be, No non-disabled gay guy ever has or ever will consider me because most gay guys are way to picky when it comes to who they are in a relationship with. Most gay guys just have loveless sex with every other gay guy they meet, and you cannot deny that fact and never will be able to because it is the exact truth. I bet none of you have had any long-term relationships, just one night stands. But you dont consider disabled gay guys because you non-disabled gay guys think you are way too good for us. And I am attractive, but no one notices. I am a nice and good-hearted person most of the time, and no one takes the time to get to know me, to love me for who I am, to accept me. You have helped to prove my point all too well. This is the way it has been and always will be. |
