So basically... this is me.

I'm not much of a person to describe myself, but it's worth a shot.

I'm an 18 year old freshman attending college in the St. Louis, MO, area (although I'm on the IL side). I'm gay and single, and never had a relationship, although I'm 99.9% sure I like guys. I'm part of the GSA at my university, and I'm hoping to go to the MBLGTACC (if you've never heard of this, Google it) conference with them in February. I graduated from high school last year from my suburban hometown located near Chicago, IL.

My coming out stories...

I came out to 2 random people in my senior year of high school during a party, actually more like after the party, but in any case they were supportive. I knew these one of the 2 people since Freshman year, he was an honest, clean person I would have liked to known better, but didn't, and I regret that. The other was a bisexual girl that was friends with the known gay kid in school, which I also wish I had known better. I feel I didn't make the right choices in friends in high school, but the past is the past and all I can do now is move along.

I came out to my mom also one night... it rarely comes up. Just live our lives like normal. I'm pretty sure she's STILL in denial. My dad doesn't know... cause I haven't talked to him in a very long time, not to mention, he doesn't even know how old I am anyways.

My one piece of advice:
Also, you don't come out just once, you do it over and over again. It just gets easier everytime you do it.

Ahaha welcome to the site man. Happy to hear it, and i'll have to look up that MBLGTACC. It's funny i know a few people near St.Louis, MO. He is also a freshman, he's in psychology.. thats all i know, he attended "Fox Senior High" ahaha. Anyways man, take care , and thanks for your advice.

Never heard of that high school. I only know of colleges around here (St. Louis University, Univ. Missouri-St. Louis, Washington Univ, So. IL Univ. Edwardsville [mine])

Nah not really, all are pretty close to your age 17-18 -19 .. a few in the early 20's no worries mate.
