Default vegetarians

are there any other vegetarians or vegans on here? im not, but i'm thinking of becoming one a couple of nights a week. I love meat, but there are lots of good vegetarian meals, like:
- indian curry
- vegetarian tacos and enchiladas
- tomato and spinach soup
- tofu quiche
.... and lots more i could go on and on


and also what do you think of this shirt Jessica Simpson wore? it caused a controversy but i think its great ..... i buy one if it said 'real men eat meat'

i don't see the point in being a vegetarian... the animal is dead already, so by not eating it, you're the one letting it go to waste...

haha i really like the argument that vegetarians are causing global warming... b/c rising numbers of vegetarians are causing a population increase in livestock and more deforestation, and livestock release methane which is a worse greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide, and that by eating plants, they're killing the things that remove CO2 from the atmosphere.

it's a stupid argument, but i like it lol

yea, I'm not a vegetarian or vegen but I have no problem with those who are.

I like my beef medium rare .. enough said

I'll occasionally eat other meats .. but I could never be a vegetarian. I had a teacher in High School who gave up beef for a couple years to lose weight .. once he was where he wanted to be, his body could no longer digest beef .. kinda sad.

My mom's a vegitarian but my dad forces her to eat fish so that she can at least order something on a non vegitarian menu. Some people say that fish isn't a meat but is it? Also some people become vegitarians like my mom because they don't like meat not just because they want to save animals.

Wow this is an interesting discussion, and who doesnt eat meat? you need meat, protein is good for you. Well of course you can get protein out of other sources, but everyone needs to eat meat, vegetarians are just screwing up their bodies oh and I lost 10 pounds when I better aligned my diet.

There are only a few proteins that are found in meat only, and I'm not sure whether or not your body really needs them, but most proteins that your body does need can be found in meat as well as beans, but meat is so much tastier.

I love meat. I make sure to eat meat with every meal. And since I started doing that my weight is better controlled, idk why, perhaps cause its more filling than many other foods and ill eat less total food.

Haha wow
We cant find any hard evidence that fits global warming
at the rate its going, so lets just blame those damn
vegetarians and save our corn fields!
Thats pretty idiotic.

But yeah, ive considered it before, but then i thought about
how i dont eat much meat anyways.
I only eat Chicken, Turkey, and a rare burger every once in a while.
So, it wont do me much.

But hey, youve got nothing to lose in experimenting,
so i say give it a shot.

Meat really isn't something that I particularly care for. I'm just used to eating it since I have been my entire life. I could easily go vegetarian, but I'd have to wait until I moved out - my family is way to centered around meat when it comes to meals. It wouldn't be a problem for me to convert.

I was a 100% vegetarian for the past 4 years, untill a couple months ago. started to get weak, protein from vegatables are a differnet structure, i had to go back and start eating meat, to the protein from the meat. my strength has come back. i just eat about 4 to 5 oz once a day, i continue to vegetables as i had. I stay away from sweets and bread, i only drink milk once a day and ice trea for the rest of the day or water, i also eat eggs.
