Queer as Folk

How do you guys like the show Queer as Folk? I've watched some of the first episode and fell in love with it! I like it a lot and am thinking about buying the boxed series set so I can watch it whenever I want! What do you guys think? Is it worth buying the whole series?

NOTE: I'm talking about the U.S. version. I watched some of the first episode of the U.S. and U.K. versions and I like the U.S. version way better! It felt more polished and was written better! Now, I am American, so the U.S. version I can understand a whole lot better with the whole cultural difference thing. Plus, the guys in the U.S. version are hotter

Ok... I LOVE QAF! I watched the last 2 seasons on Showtime, and I watch the repeats on Logo. I'm in love with every inch of Ben.

it was an "okay" show, for what it was. but, it made us all look like sex-crazed, club hopping, non-committed, no good heathens. come on now, you have to admit, that show was pretty stereotypical. bot, nonetheless, it was a good show.

It was produced by, and for gay men. I think the fact that it made us look like "sex-crazed, club hopping, non-committed, no good heathens" was the point. It was meant to romanticize the life of a hot, sexy, fit, gay man in America for the average American gay man, not Straight-up Joe Schmoe.

good point. but, i highly doubt that that show represented the lifestyle of the "average gay man"

yeah but the us version is like sex+sex witha bit more sex and just a smidgen of extra umm whats the word-sex but i still love it all
also iu watch the uk one for free on virgin media

I like QAF, I agree that's a bad representation of how we behave though. I watch it simply because it's entertaining.......and because Brian and Justin are a mega hot couple
