I don't understand why I'm expected to like it just 'cause I speak Japanese :S

Haha, wow. That may be the case for some, but idk. That definitely doesn't apply to me. I love anime. I'm in an anime club, and apparently I don't like anime as much as I thought I did...especially when compared to them >_>. But nopes, I don't want to be Japanese. I never wanted to eat sushi lol, and I only tried it once, and that was after being convinced by a friend of mine. And no she's not Japanese, she's half-Philippine lol. And I don't like sushi that much. (I'd prefer honey mustard chix lol). Pretend I'm cultured? Me? Lol I don't even know how to read kanji or katakana. And I don't know any Japanese customs, nor do I pretend to lol. And the only Japanese I know comes from the common stuff I can recognize from anime lol.

ummmmm...no. i really prefer to stay away from anime... it creeps me out... my good friend made me watch a final fantasy movie and i fell asleep through it...
i used to like it when i was little, but only because they were cartoons and i was little... i'm sure i would have found better things to waste my time with had i been able to understand any of them.
and i DO watch avatar... i have the first season on DVD... but i don't think of that as anime. because i don't. it's just better.

But actually, you may be right about some people...this girl I know (I don't know her, but she acts like she tries to make herself known >_>) cosplays at every meeting, and speaks in broken Japanese. Very broken. And this other girl cosplays too and is always hugging people and shouting "Kawaii!" and some other stuff I can't understand. It's kind of annoying.

Nah, I don't view that as an anime either for some reason...maybe cuz of the fact that if you put it next to an anime, you can't really find much similarities. It just seems like a great cartoon to me lol.

Kawaii isn't even a good Japanese adjective...
Atatakai (I.e, warm) is a good one

It becomes atatakakunakatta in the negative past tense, which is great fun to say.
People who know like...3 words of Japanese yet insist on trying to pretend they know it really annoy me.

i really do like shojo like Azumanga over shonen like Naruto, but i also like the adult oriented anime, like Cowboy Bebop.

i just recently watched Akira... that movie was awesome!!!

but it is an amazing art style, and is very refreshing

btw, i also only watched the Kanto season of Pokemon. i was more fixated with the games than the show...

i do love me some ultra-linear jrpgs
