My Boyfreind is scaring me, What should I do?

My boyfriend has always dressed a little emo, with black tight pants and checkers, and I always thought it was hot, but lately he has started to wear black eye liner, and today when I talked to him on the phone he said that he was wearing black lipstick.

This is really starting to creep me out, but I don't want to tell him what he can and can't wear. so I don't know what to do, I'm just scared that he is turning like really Gothic or something. It's not something I'd break up with him about, I'm just scared that he is going to start cutting his wrists or something.

I'm really starting to worry about it, and I don't know if he just likes the look, or if it's something more serious, but Its really scaring me.

I've talked to him about it and he says that he just likes the way it looks, but his friends tell me that he is really depressed when we are apart, and yesterday his friend Katelyn said that she had to stop him from cutting himself. I don't know who to believe, when we are together he is always happy and I never have any problems with him getting depressed, but why would his friend lie about something like this?

I don't know what to do, Does anyone know how I can get him to talk to me about it? It scares me to death.

Try reassuring him that you are either inlove with him or that you like him sooo much. and that you'll allways be there for him. Hug him tight and tell him you can't wait till you can be together again when you have to say goodbye... Just try to be there for him as much as you can..

I'll try, but its a long distance relationship, and I can only see him for 5-6 days a month. But I'm going to be moving to his town this summer, so I'm hoping it will get better than.

he's coming over in a week, I'll talk to him than, because it will be allot easier for him to see how I'm feeling if we are face to face, instead of on msn or the phone.

unless something else happens. in that case I'll phone him and talk to him. but I prefer being face to face with this kind of thing.
