Default Mile

Does anyone have to run the mile or the pacer test for school?

Only if you're in gym class, they have the "beep" test, probably similar, you ahve to score a 6 on it or something. Also signing up for gym, during the months you can run *on the track* they run about one or two miles a day.

i used too. but, thanks to my school district's curriculum, i am no longer able to take P.E. (which kinda sucks) anyway yeah, i had to do it for five years. there was a time limit that got shorter as we got older. i remember always being one of the top five fastest runners in my class every year. it was kinda fun!

I didn't have to cause I was a senior. Ironically, that year for the final mile... one of the people one grade lower than me died on the track because despite him saying he couldn't do it, the teacher told him one more lap and then he collapsed. I have no doubt now they will no longer say "one more lap".

Yeah, that's really messed up. I know PE coaches like to be skeptical, but ohh man...that's awful

I went to his wake too... he did not look the same.

Guess it proves that there's always potential danger in doing something.

first of all, i side with czaro. avatar is absolutely wonderful...

and now for the topic on hand.
yes, we had to run in "wellness" during middle school... the first time i did it (in the sixth grade) my mile time was 8:11... i remember because that summer i joined the cross-country team and never complained about it again. P.S. i hate cross coutry. We probably run in P.E. at our high school, but i wouldn't know because we only have to have one credit of it, so i'm not taking it yet!!!

Running the mile is very easy especially if it`s in the morning. I personally am a fast runner. But the test is simple in my opinion.

I never had to...but then I hated P.E and half of the time I refused to do it...'cause it was a waste of time really and no matter how hard you tried they always said you weren't trying hard enough...
But I know someone who had to do that beepy test-a-ma-jig
